Happy Valentine's Day! I love this day for lots of reasons... the sweet treats, flowers, cards and of course all the PINK.  I had fun with some chalkboard art and a festive little "LOVE" banner for the occasion.

 We're celebrating with some cupcakes and strawberry milk over here so I just thought I would share a few photos...

and when you don't like the pretty pink paper straw that your mom gave you... just guzzle it.

I'll leave you with a funny dinner conversation we had the other night.

It went like this...

Me: Who loves steak? (as I carry the steak to the dinner table)

 Kids: Me!

 The kids took over from there...

Averi: Who loves mommy and daddy?

Kids: Meeeeeeeee!

Bentley: Who loves grandma?

 Kids: Meeeeeeee!

Bentley: Who loves Little Women? (the book we are currently reading)

Kids: Meeeeeee!

Averi: Who loves Valentine's Day?

Kids: Meeeeeeee!

Bentley innocently following that lead: Who loves Valentine's Night?

Kids AND Brett: Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Vintage First Aid Box

 I found this vintage wood box and knew I had to find a way to put it to use. It's a sturdy little thing with lovely dovetailed joints. I decided this would be perfect as a First Aid Kit.

Pretty and practical... I love it! I painted the box with a mixture of French Linen and Old White Chalk Paint. For the cross, I used flat white paint.

Projects have not been easy for me to get to so far this year. When I do find the time and energy, I have plenty of options awaiting me. I did have a tea party this past week and that allowed me the opportunity to set a pretty table and enjoy some time with  friends from church.

Other than that, it's me trying to keep up with these three and some serious cabin fever! Spring come quickly please... we need you.
