Spring 2014: Lucky Star Market

I set a goal for myself this year in regards to Mimi's Vintage Charm. I wanted to look for a place where I could set up a booth and sell some of my hand painted furniture and vintage housewares. I heard about a great venue that will give me this opportunity and I just had to pass along the news to you as well.

Mark your calendar and save the date: Saturday April 26th for the Lucky Star Market in Ames, IA. It's a seasonal "pop-up" market featured at the Prairie Moon Winery. If you're wondering what you'll find there, this market showcases handmade art, along with vintage and repurposed goods "from Central Iowa's best creators and collectors". I believe they have over 50 vendors for this spring market and I'm really excited to be a part of it.

I'm a complete rookie at this sort of thing. I will have an 8x8 booth, so my first challenge has been to figure out what type of furniture to bring. Hand painted, vintage furniture is my first love so I have to  find a way to showcase that by selecting just a few of the right pieces. It's a challenge and I'm up for it! So, come out that day, say hello and enjoy some great shopping.

Let the hunting and gathering commence...

I plan to do plenty of "sneak peeks" because I love that sort of thing.
Stay tuned for more photos and info!
Thanks for stopping by.
