I worked on my first project of the year. My aunt Lisa (she's my husband's aunt but she's one of those really warm and special people who makes everyone feel like they're family) gave me a Christmas present. Isn't this chair wonderful?
The future of this chair was glum... meaning she was headed for the dumpster. Lisa intervened with me in mind and I am so glad she did.
First I decided to clean her up really well. We're talking over an hour of scrubbing that involved tooth brushes and tooth picks! After all that I thought the only thing she needed was some white paint.
The bold and beautiful mustard yellow chair was not for my home... so I listed her on good ol' Craigslist and she was a quick sell. After all that hard work, while I waited for the new owner to come and pick her up there was only one thing left to do....
I did indeed take a seat and enjoyed a cup of tea before we parted ways. Thank you so much aunt Lisa! As you know, this helps me with my next projects. It was such a fun one. Oh how I love giving furniture a second chance!
