Our home is in the works right now!

I already love this little place. My hubby is building it for us.

Here's the basic info:

Cottage Style, Story and a half

1362 sq. feet of living space

The kids will have their cozy little bedrooms upstairs and they will share a bathroom. Our bedroom is on the main level with a master bathroom along with the kitchen, a small dinning room, living room and half bath. The basement will be finished later on. It fits us perfectly! I have all sorts of decisions to make about the interiors. My color pallet will be soft shades of blues, greens, pinks and creamy yellows. The woodwork and trim will be painted white and we are planning on doing pine wood plank floors on both levels. It will be fun to get my favorite vintage furnishings arranged and then determine what else I will need. Lots of work to be done!

For now, I am just trying to be patient and enjoy the beauty of the river valley this time of year. Here's a few photos of our surroundings.

Right now we reside in my mom and step-dad's farmhouse.

She's a beauty as well.

As much as I love the farmhouse and my mom and step-dad...I am ready to get settled in our own home. Not to mention the fact that the farmhouse has only ONE bathroom! So yes, I had to recover from birth in this home with one little shared bathroom for all of us. I'm tougher than I look!

I keep looking out there at my home, willing her to get done. Spring is going to be so exciting for us and it's just around the corner. Can't Wait!
