an evening with the A-team

When days like this come along and you live in the country... you have to soak it up.

We headed down the road in Brett's truck.
Little Miss helped drive.

Our destination... the river!

B-boy did what little boys do...

making sure to eat lots of sand and dirt.

Little Miss did what little girls do... dancing and singing to her hearts delight.

We (mom and dad) just enjoyed these precious moments...

We had a few precious hours together this evening as a family.

As my "babies" sleep, I can still hear their laughter.

Thanking the Lord for a day like today...medicine for our weary souls.

Soft and Sweet the words of Psalms 121 came to my mind today and soothed my heart.

"I look up to the hills, but where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not let you be defeated."

(Psalms 121:1-3a... New Century Version)

So thankful that the Lord heard my heart and blessed me with a day like today!

Well, hello Mimi!
I was so delighted with my visit here...(I read back to the beginning!)...I loved meeting you and your sweet little family, and all of your prettied-up pieces of furniture...but what I *really* loved is seeing the home that your husband is building. It touched a soft spot in my heart...About 15 years ago my husband and my older children built us a new *victorian*...it was an experience I'll always cherish...and I miss it terribly even though I do love the home we're in now. I look forward to following your progress!
