Antoinette Dining Room Chairs

I've been working on some house projects. The latest has been my dining room chairs. I bought these four from REDO. (click on that name for the link to their FB page) They have a shop in Boone, IA that is open on the weekends. It's a great place to look for project pieces.

Someone had started to paint them but never finished. They were all scratched up and in need of some love but I thought they would be great. They have a charming cottage feel to them. Here's another "before" picture so you can see the details...

My farmhouse table is painted in French Linen ASCP. I have found that French Linen looks great with pink. So, I bought a new color.... "Antoinette" is her name and she is lovely! Pink just makes everything a little better in my book.

Here's how the chairs look now...

and now with the table...

Sweet Antoinette was the perfect touch... love these two colors together!

Thanks for stopping by!
I'm working on finishing up a few projects in my bedroom so that should be coming soon.

Antique Two Drawer Dresser

I recently worked on this antique two drawer dresser. Since I forgot to snap the "before" picture, we'll jump right into the "after" photos. I love this piece for lots of reasons.

She's solid oak and has those wonderful paneled sides.
I'm always drawn to that detail...

She was weathered and worn when I got her and that just added to her character and charm. I went with "Old White" ASCP and distressed her as it seemed fitting. I found some vintage hardware and painted it with a mixture of "French Linen" and "Old White". The grey and white go well together.

Because of her size... she's very versatile. I picture her in any room with a big basket for linens or towels...

The drawers are lined with pink and white striped wallpaper...

She's also at just the right height for a little girl's dollhouse which would be so sweet in a bedroom or playroom.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a simple white dresser.
